I have fallen off the photo taking wagon, but I’m doing well with my paleo challenge.
Had two chocolate cheats since the thing began.
Unfortunately, also had an EPIC asthma attack brought on by bronchitis that left me out of exercising commission for a few days. Horrendous. I’m not sure if I’ll make it back into the gym today or wait till tomorrow. Just got home from Miami Beach, where I was visiting my parents and didn’t really do any exercise since Saturday AM due to the respiratory meltdown.
10 rounds, 3 pull-ups as Rxd
that was a fun workout. My arms can feel those pushups!
Today I have a headcold. I wonder if my new year’s celebration beginning at 9 AM on Saturday and ending at approximately midnight on Sunday/Monday (with a few hours’ nap) has anything to do with this state of affairs.
a handful of cashews
carrot/ginger soup
grassfed burger with bacon and salad
papaya chunks and pomegranate seeds
Post workout/meal 1 of paleo challenge
Eggs w peppers, mushrooms, steak Greens w balsamic vinaigrette
Cappuccino w soy milk
I will occasionally drink soy milk from time to time. Preferably almond or other nut milk, unsweetened, and if not that soy milk will make its way into my coffee.
I have also had tea, water, and a zinc lozenge. Getting ready for dinner.

My posterior tibial tendon still functions, but has longitudinal tears in several places.
The orthopedist at Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, who saw me two years ago when this problem first surfaced, recommended surgery since the situation has only worsened since the initial injury in 2009.
Despite feeling that surgery is No Fun At All, I am definitely on board for this plan and am beginning to make arrangements. It’s nice to be able to plan it, unlike my previous orthopedic surgeries, which were done under far more painful and urgent circumstances.
If I’m able to schedule things as I desire, I should be back in action and possibly even able to perform my dance solo (I’ve been curated into a festival at the Joyce SoHo for April 2012) in the spring.
Stay tuned!
