I know we all like to emphasize that this nutrition stuff is all about quality and not quantity…but you may have noticed that I have ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM eating quality food.
Across the board, too, in my life: cutting things out, moderating, declining —-> not hard for me. Except when it comes to eating and exercise.
I can eat only the best, healthiest foods. And I can...
questions, questions
What should I do about my diet? I’m enjoying this keto thing - I feel good, energized, sated - but I’m not losing any weight.
I imagine that calories in, calories out must still be the root of the problem. And so I’ve been contemplating returning to a more veggie-rich diet. I’m very happy without fruit and starch and much in the way of nuts.
But I wonder if a little...

the comment from Mark’s Daily Apple makes sense to me - I think I’ve been restricting my carbs TOO much. I feel better having increased the veggie intake - I was at Atkins-esque restriction levels with the carbs. Let’s see if I manage to reset my body’s “fat setpoint”.

movement update
I am taking an Alexander technique workshop right now - VERY interesting. I’ll say more, perhaps, another time. But lots of food for thought. Lots of time to go deep into somatic perception land.
I think I am going to start working rack pulls again. I tried the movement - just the movement, no weight, not even a PVC pipe - today and things felt better than when I last was at CFV. So I...

savvier keto redo starts tomorrow!
carb splurge!
Since I’ve already exceeded ketogenic levels today, I thought I’d treat myself:
a bowl of purple cabbage with some mushroom and onion and garlic
delicious.
avocados
turns out avocados have between 15 and 30 g of carbs each!
DISASTER!
I have about a million avocados and they have become a kind of default food.
I’m not really in ketosis…since if I eat ANYTHING with carbs above and beyond that, I’m likely to exceed 30 g per day.
live and learn.
Ketosis
Take … three?

Action!

Okay, I know I’m menstruating and I’m probably a little bloated, but I also weigh approximately 7 lbs MORE than I did last week, despite having gone even more extreme with the no carb thing.
I think I must just be eating too much.
Time to cut back on quantity. Specifically, I must get my coconut milk habit under control.
I discovered today that a little coco milk plus ice,...
